Language in Development

HAC-Haiti is offering volunteers a unique opportunity to learn a new language in a service and development context. Students are not only taught a new language through classroom instruction, homework, and peer practice, but they are offered the chance to utilize the language in a service capacity enabling them to use their new language skills to learn more about the people and culture of Haiti. This all-inclusive approach to learning helps students acquire valuable language skills quicker and allows them to process and practice language and communication skills with our students, community members, and program participants.
